Nottingham Forest finally earned their first Premier League victory of the season last weekend. Coventry City are still waiting for their first point — and remarkably, their first league goal.

That makes this an important match for both sides. Oliver Glasner has an opportunity to turn Forest's improving performances into genuine momentum, while Frank Lampard needs to find something capable of stopping Coventry's difficult start from becoming a full-blown crisis.

Lampard remains publicly positive. He has stressed the importance of maintaining belief, improving fitness and tactical execution, and ensuring the squad continues to work with the mentality that earned promotion. But eventually the results have to change.

After drawing with Liverpool and Tottenham, they finally earned their first win at Aston Villa. But I do not expect an immediate rout. Lampard knows Coventry's first priority must be defensive stability. That could keep the match relatively tight for a significant period.
Forest should nevertheless have too much. Gibbs-White's creativity, Delap's physical presence and the attacking threat from the wing-back positions should eventually stretch Coventry's defensive structure. And once the first goal arrives, Forest should find considerably more space.
